I-600A renewal/Taiwan country change sent!

Friday, I sent in our renewal paperwork for the one-time free extension of our original CHINA I-171H... ofcourse, this paperwork has been changed to Indonesia once and now I am sending it in for the free renewal plus a country change from Indonesia to Taiwan. I am glad this part is done and the rest is up to the Portland USCIS office to figure out. I am so thankful that Taiwan adoptions do not require this part to be approved before getting in line for a referral... I am hearing that the Portland USCIS Office is currently VERY SLOW so I would hate for this to slow us down. Thankfully, it looks like we'll have time to wait for the approval since after referral of a child in Taiwan, it takes aprx 3-6 months for the court process before we can travel. Hopefully, that'll give us enough time for Portland USCIS to approve us. Anyways, it feels good to have that off my hands now. I am also done with all our dossier paperwork for Taiwan... although with Taiwan adoptions, you don't turn in your dossier until you get your referral.

Now, we just need our referral!!!

Come on referral! I am so glad you can "get in line" prior to the USCIS approval. You and I don't have good experience with those offices!

Portland Marathon 2013 (My First ever Marathon Recap)

I am OVER DUE :(

Happy 9 months since LID! I was in a very goofy mood and BEGGED my DH to take this picture of me.... Had I been expecting a tummy baby, I'd be officially OVER DUE. I think I have WAY too much time on my hands :) Gotta go tuck my kids in bed now.

Much has happened...

It's been exactly one week since we were given our bad news about not being able to adopt the girls from Indonesia. God has really comforted us alot during the past week... I still have a hard time not crying when someone asks me when we can go get the girls.... In my excitement, I showed so many people at church and friends the pictures of the girls because in my heart, I really felt these girls were ours. But, God is not done writing our story ~ I know that this will have a Godly outcome and we will move forward. We have had lots of support and encouragement ~ most people we know well have expressed their sadness over this.
